People Love Our Work
IHEC completed two separate academic program review evaluations. One review was for a Bachelor of Arts in Health Education, a program that had been struggling with enrollment for a few years. IHEC did a thorough review of the program elements, focusing on the needed criteria for programmatic accreditation through the Council on Public Health Education (CEPH). As a result of the review and their action plan recommendations, the program was determined to align well with the standards yet was misnamed. The terminology ‘health education’ was unknown with the student population seeking online college programs. As a direct result of the program review, the university agreed and will be changing the program name to Bachelor of Arts in Public Health starting in 2019.Their action plan was detailed and provided guidance for the future of the program.
The IHEC team always encouraged us, even when we felt overwhelmed. They guided us through the accreditation process pulling our team together, which in our case resulted in full buy-in from the committee. IHEC had a firm grasp of the AAAHC standards. They were also highly skilled at recognizing issues that could be potential problems. They were excellent organizers and provided many policy examples that we could model our own policies after.
The IHEC team designed and created an excellent and impressive cultural competency training for our public and allied health faculty at California State University, Northridge. The online, self-study resource is extensive and includes many effective, scholarly resources along with engaging, interesting, user-friendly, asynchronous applications for faculty to achieve cultural competency during classroom facilitation and mentorship of students. They intuitively knew what our vision was for the faculty resource and executed the project flawlessly. The resource is an important, permanent component of our national grant-funded project. We are absolutely thrilled with their wonderful resource which is still used today and will be for years to come! We look forward to working with her again for future projects.
IHEC demonstrated all of the attributes of a true leader; providing clear and precise guidance which built consensus among the University Leadership and the entire staff.
IHEC demonstrated a clarity of vision that remained consistent throughout the project and created a singular diving force that kept everyone focused on data, research and evidence-based design elements that are known to enhance patient experience. In addition, IHEC brought the ideas biophilic design and the positive benefits that connecting the built environment to nature can have on the performance of the facility and those that interact with it. These contributions ultimately led to a highly efficient health center with a clear organization that improves patient flow and physician productivity while at the same time creates beautiful and engaging spaces that simply make people feel good.
IHEC is the main reason why our Student Health Services was successful in attaining accreditation by AAAHC.
IHEC demonstrated a keen ability to see through complex issues and made decisions that improved cost efficiency while looking for ways to add value to the project. More impressive is their ability to navigate this process in such a way that ensures that the patient experience comes first and that the facility can provide the highest level of care possible.
